Do you want to have fun while learning and gaining valuable real-world career experience?

Talentcultre is an innovative start-up venture in Harvard Square, Cambridge seeking Social Media Interns. This volunteer internship offers a unique opportunity to help expand our business via research and various social media platforms. Seeking someone with a passion for Social Media and technology, a Web 2.0 enthusiast that enjoys and understands micro-blogging, user-generated content, and online communities. The ideal candidate is focusing on entrepreneurship and public relations.

Credit: Optional
Location: Telecommuting
Time: 10-15 hours/week-flexible
Timeframe: 1 or 2 semesters; start date: as soon as possible

Responsibilities include the following:

Maintain, monitor and interact with members on applicable social media outlets.
Interact with our Twitter community with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Support public relations efforts and brainstorm creative approaches to expand business.
Attend phone/in person meetings and create assessment reports about social media trends, updates, and communities.
Research business articles, new business leads, blogs and videos.
Write/contribute to blog articles as applicable.
Create social media marketing outreach plans based on needs assessment.

Minimum Requirements:

Undergraduate coursework in Journalism, PR/Communications, Business or related field. Practical work experience is a definite plus.
Strong writing skills.
Demonstrated experience/interest in online community management.
Highly organized and able to work independently and collaboratively.
Desire to take initiative as new audiences and platforms emerge.
Polished presentation and effective communication skills.
